Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant Department

Sanskrit Samhita & Siddhant – Foundation of Ayurveda

The Department of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant forms the very foundation of Ayurvedic education and practice. It is responsible for teaching the classical Ayurvedic texts (Samhitas) in their original Sanskrit language along with the fundamental principles (Siddhant) of Ayurveda as described by Maharshi Charaka, Sushruta, Vagbhata and others.

This department enables students to correctly read, interpret, understand and apply the ancient wisdom contained in the Brihat Trayi (Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya) and Laghu Trayi, while developing deep insight into Ayurvedic philosophy, logic, and diagnostic reasoning.
