Kriya Sharir – Physiology in Ayurveda

Kriya Sharir is the branch of Ayurveda that deals with the normal physiological functions of the human body according to Ayurvedic principles. It explains how the body works in health (Swasthya) and the mechanisms behind disease formation (Samprapti).

The department teaches the concepts of Dosha-Dhatu-Mala, Agni, Srotas, Prana, Ojas, and physiological processes in detail, with correlation to modern physiology. It forms the bridge between basic principles and clinical subjects, helping students understand the dynamic functioning of the body.
